Our co-owner and chef, Sal Zappone, has experience working side by side with some of the best chefs in Las Vegas and in the Phoenix area. Being raised by Italian immigrants, Sal was taught at an early age how love could be expressed through the passion of cooking. He went on to train in French cuisine, as well as work as a Tasting Manager at a Napa Valley winery. When he moved to Arizona, he opened his own restaurant and catering company. Through this, him and his life partner, Dina, have combined their restaurant, catering, and event experience together to offer Z Catering’s customers with an authentic experience that they won’t find anywhere else.

Dina Zappone, co-owner and manager of Z Catering, has been in the hospitality industry since she was seven years old. Being brought up by Sicilian immigrants, Dina also learned how much impact both good food and friendly service can have on the lives of friends, neighbors, and family members. With experience working in her family’s restaurant, The Mirage hotel, an Oregon based restaurant group, as well as her and Sal’s restaurant, Dina has had both opportunity and time to refine her skills in management, customer service, and operations. She oversees all of the training of her catering staff to ensure that every customer feels like part of her family. She goes above and beyond to ensure that each catered event is a spectacular success.

If you are looking for an elevated dining experience, ask us about having our full-service staff serve plated dinners on our China. On the other hand, if you are wanting to throw a relaxed, backyard get together, we can drop off our disposable buffet setup with throw away plates and utensils.
