Party Planning during the Pandemic: No Problem!

Schools and businesses have had to make rapid changes while transitioning to online platforms, and most of us have been kept at a far distance from many of our friends and family members. Luckily, with advancements in technology and this new opportunity to revamp traditional ways of celebrating, the party can go on, even through the pandemic! Z Catering in Gilbert, AZ is prepared to step in and assist you with your event planning needs. In fact, we have specialized packages that are perfect for intimate celebrations. These packages serve 10 guests, and they can be ordered as a drop-off buffet or individually packaged servings for your guests of honor. Graduation & End of School Celebrations:
Regardless if you a parent, grandparent, teacher or a student, you understand how much excitement builds up for the last day of school. Of course, this year has been unpredictable and extremely different from past years, but that does not mean that the commemoration of such a moment cannot go on as normal. The truth is, you can responsibly social distance while celebrating your loved one’s special moment. One idea is to invite friends and family members to a virtual ceremony or party, using popular video conferencing software such as Zoom, WebEx, Google Meet, etc. Think of a theme that would highlight school colors, their school mascot, or maybe a certain sport or club they participated in throughout the year. Then, think of how you could create a temporary stage that could be transformed into a dance floor as the party progresses. You could ask certain guests to give a quick speech, toast, or an opportunity to share their congratulations with the honoree. Whether your employees have dealt with the obstacles related to transitioning to remote environments or have been on the front lines of fighting COVID-19, they all could use a boost of morale and a token of appreciation. It is so important, especially at a time like this, to cherish your employees and give them every opportunity to feel valued and appreciated. Providing a meal for them is a small gesture that can make a big difference. If your team is scattered, working at each of their homes, we suggest having a social distancing lunch get together. Meet up in your work parking lot, an open area, or out in front of your home. Ask them to bring a folding chair. Place the chairs in a circle, at least 6 feet apart. Everyone can enjoy a bite while catching up with each other. Of course, it is important to set “no touching” ground rules and encourage people to bring hand sanitizer and a possibly a mask. Of course, if you want to include a larger group, there are ways to do that, while still following the stay at home orders. Why not invite guests to participate in a “drive-by” parade, so you can at least wave at each other from a safe distance. Another idea is to ask guests to contribute a video message that can easily be made into a collage of well wishes that can be streamed on YouTube and watched again in the future. If guests want to give gifts, they can mail them or deliver them to your front door. You could host a live video wile opening presents and giving verbal thanks. If you are a fan of movies, you could host a Netflix party or plan to all meet up at a pop-up drive-in movie. Several cities around the valley have been seeing these open for the public. They show movies for people who can stay in their cars for social distancing. You could ask everyone to dress up for a certain theme to correlate with the movie or just have them show up in their pajamas!
